Graham's Store
The 1904-era general store; restaurant closed 2025 — call before counting on the store
Straight up front, because half the internet hasn’t caught up: Graham’s Restaurant — the bar half of this building, the one that hosted the crew filming ‘Call of the Wild’ in 1935 — closed in March 2025 and hasn’t reopened. We’ve found no reopening plan in any current source. Don’t drive over expecting dinner.
The store side is the part we can half-recommend. The building has anchored Glacier since around 1904, and in recent years the store has sold espresso, made-to-order bagels, berry smoothies, and cabin basics: limited groceries, ice, firewood, beer, and wine. But here’s the honest part — as of our August 2026 check, we couldn’t confirm from a primary source that the store is operating day to day. The signals point to yes; nothing says definitely. Call before you count on it.
If the door is locked when you pass through, Crossroads Grocery in Maple Falls is the better-stocked option anyway — more in our Glacier services guide.
What they stock
- Espresso and drip coffee
- Made-to-order bagels and berry smoothies
- Limited groceries — basics, not a full shop
- Ice and firewood
- Beer and wine
Good to know
- The restaurant has been closed since March 24, 2025, with no announced reopening
- Store status is genuinely uncertain — call (360) 599-2665 first
- Ignore the ‘8am–8pm daily’ hours floating around online; they trace to 2019–2020 listings
