Mt. Baker Places Restaurant Glacier, WA
Gunners Tex Mex BBQ
Smoked brisket, tacos, elote, and blackberry margaritas in downtown Glacier
Barbecue with a Tex-Mex bend in downtown Glacier: smoked brisket, pulled pork, and ribs, but also brisket and chicken tacos, carnitas, and elote. They opened in July 2023, and they’re now our standard dinner answer for guests who’ve been outside all day and want a real plate of food. There’s mac and cheese and burgers for the kids and the brisket-skeptics, and it’s a fixture on our where to eat around Mt. Baker list.
Two things reviewers keep singling out that you might not expect from a BBQ joint. The desserts, for one — the peach pie, cheesecake, and tiramisu get named specifically, with one reviewer calling them among the best they’d had. And the blackberry margarita, which is the house drink order.
The caveat: which days they’re open is inconsistent across listings, and the hours page on their own site currently doesn’t load. Early in the week especially, call before you make the drive.
What to order
- Brisket tacos
- The half rack of ribs

Good to know
- Open days conflict between listings — call (360) 599-0783 before heading over, especially Monday through Wednesday
- Online ordering and catering run through gunnersbbq.net; the .com address some directories list is wrong
