Mt. Baker Snowboard Shop

Glacier has had a snowboard shop since 1989, and this is it — billing itself as the original Mt. Baker Snowboard Shop, tucked on Forest Street behind Milano’s, one street off the highway. It’s retail, and it’s specific: snowboards, splitboards, boots, outerwear, and backcountry gear.

Two caveats before you make a special trip. First, we can’t confirm they rent. Some directories tag them for rentals and tuning, but no first-party source backs that up, and the rental hub in town is Glacier Ski Shop. If renting is the errand, call (360) 599-2008 before counting on this stop. Second, their website was showing an under-construction page when we last checked in August 2026, so directory listings are the only current word on hours. Those show short mid-afternoon windows on weekdays and fuller weekend days, a winter-centric pattern — a random Tuesday morning visit will likely find the door locked.

If you ride, it’s still worth knowing about. A specialty board shop that has stayed open in a town this small for 35-plus years is rare, and it’s the corridor’s stop for board-specific and splitboard gear rather than general rental-fleet stock.
