Mt. Baker Places Gear & rentals Glacier, WA
Glacier Ski Shop
Rentals for everything — skis, boards, splitboards, snowshoes, and backcountry kit
When guests need gear, this is where we send them. Glacier Ski Shop runs out of two buildings on the highway through Glacier: the log cabin at 9966 Mt Baker Hwy handles rentals and repairs, and the showroom at 9946 handles retail and boot fitting (that side has its own line, (360) 441-6357).
The rental list covers nearly everything you’d point at this mountain: downhill skis, snowboards, telemark and cross-country setups, snowshoes, splitboards, and alpine-touring rigs, plus the backcountry safety kit — beacons, shovels, probes, skins, crampons, ice axes. They do multi-day rates and full-season packages, which ran $100–$295 by age and gear type when we last checked. Renting snowshoes here is the easiest way into the routes in our snowshoeing guide.
Sort your gear out here rather than hoping to solve it farther up the road — Glacier is the last town before the ski area. Summer flips the place over: e-bike rentals run Friday through Sunday, and a small ice cream stand sets up in the ski-lined parking lot. They were already selling 2025/26-season skis, boards, and boots when we checked in August, so the shop is very much alive.
Know before you go

- Summer e-bikes: Fri 2–6, Sat 10–6, Sun 11–4
- They rent gear, not beds — no lodging here, whatever an old directory says
